Chindogu
Yes, I guess it's finally time to share my love of all things Japanese. While reading an article about how Japanese fashion designers are creating portable vending machine suits and purses that transform to look like manhole covers--also an interesting article, check it out here--I found this craze called Chindogu which you might enjoy reading about. Don't miss how Chindogu means "Weird Tool" and not "Penis Tool," nor the equally entertaining "Tenets of Chindogu" and the different Chindogu they have on display. Is it not neat-o? Check it out here.

These are amazing. Especially the urban camouflage. I want an awesome fire extinguisher backpack. I've also been thinking maybe I should fabricate a jacket that I can transform into a long, wide ice cream freezer while I'm riding my bike, because I just don't feel at all safe on the streets of Provo. I'd feel much better if I was hidden inside a moving grocery store appliance.
I'm also thinking I should make a toilet paper hat for Sophie. The tissues she keeps in her bag are just not convenient enough.
Chindogu=Awesome
But what happens if the criminal wants to buy a drink?
One word: lasers.
If you don't have lasers, you might want to keep a can of chilled Coffee or Pocari Sweat just in case. Ah, just pick one and they'll think it's a mistake.. maybe rough you up a bit trying to get the right soda, but otherwise leave you alone.
If only these suits could actually perform the tasks that their real counterparts do. Bess, you would be much cooler (in multiple senses of the word) if you rode your bike to school in a refrigerated box-like suit. Genius protection and no more sweating!
Pocari Sweat? As in someone is actually making a living selling his or her sweat? If that's the case, maybe a functioning refridgerated suit would be counterproductive. I could wear a big machine outfit on my bike, while sweating profusely, and then people could always have fresh Pocabessi Sweat. Sweet!
Yeah, Pocari sweat is one of the curiously named drinks in Japan. It has the sweet taste of green grapefruits--or sweeties as they call them in Japan. You can find other fun Japanisms at www.engrish.com
Clap Splencel! You'le making studying chemistly velly difficurt. What with arr of youl humolous websites whose pulpose is mockely of othel curtures.
I know, Bess. Welcome to my world...
Just another example of how you're so much fun and always having a good time and everyone's favorite?
No, Procrastipants, another example of how I'm always putting off school and things.
